Lightning Talks

Here's the idea: Presenters (that's you!) have 5 minutes to talk about anything they think would be interesting to share.  After 5 minutes, you're done, and another presentation jumps up to start.  This turns into a fun, fast paced way of sharing ideas and information.

The crowd is generally tech savvy but no subject is out of scope. Other presentations include:

• How to caffeinate anything
• Picking locks and handcuffs
• Book binding
• PGP
• Orienteering
• How to solder
• Art History
• OpenSCAD
• RG&E Outages
• and many more

Participation is open to everyone.  The more the better.  If you have something you think is fun, make a presentation. For any questions, contact info [at] interlockroc.org

Presentations will begin at 8pm.

Pizza and refreshments will be served at 7pm courtesy of Cam's Pizzeria East Avenue.

Can I do a presentation on my project/company?

Absolutely.  If you're working on something that you think everyone else should hear, nows the time to get it out there in a 5 minute presentation. 

How do I submit a presentation?

Simply sign up for the free Lightning Talk Presenter ticket and email your presentation and/or the topic in ODP, PPT, PPTX, or PDF format to info [at] interlockroc.org.  If you don't have a powerpoint style presentation, just let us know the subject of your presentation so we can save you a spot on the list.

When do presentations need to be submitted?

The earlier the better.  Even if you change your presentation completely, letting us know that you're interested in presenting helps us to organize the event and make things run smoothly.  

I don't have a presentation, can I still come?
